After a couple of school parties and my own trips to the 99 cent store to buy Halloween accessories, we had quite a few handfuls of glow sticks last year that I guilty tossed in the trash on November 1.
I really don’t like dumping plastic into the garbage but what can you do when it’s filled with glowing chemicals? This year I was determined to find a better use for old glow sticks than landfill fodder, so we UPCYCLED them into colorful DIY bracelets. No one will ever guess there is an old glow stick underneath!
I created this project for Makes & Takes blog. If you haven’t been to Make and Takes it’s an incredible resource of projects for kids and adults, as well as recipes and holiday ideas.
