Election day is quickly approaching! Have you voted yet? I dropped my ballot to an election drop box last week and am happy to report it has been counted!
Today’s project is for all of you who know just how important this year’s election is. Make these as a family and give them to friends and relatives who are voting this year OR better yet someone who needs a reminder to go vote. Now let’s go do this!
For a blank template head over here to make Flextangles!

TIP: I highly recommend using lightweight card stock (67 lb) for this. It holds up better than paper. paper will still work in a pinch.
- Cardstock

- Tape
VOTE Flexagon Instructions
Time needed: 15 minutes.
Make this flexagon and give it to a voter!
- Print and decorate
Color in the diffrent panels in each row of triangular sides. Refer to Pattern Guide for row layout.
- Cut out template
Cut along bold exterior line.
- Fold dashed lines
Crease dashed lines face to face. Unfold.
- Crease diagonal lines
Crease diagonal lines back to back. Unfold. Repeat for diagonal lines in both directions.
- Add glue to tabs
Add glue on tabs marked GLUE. Use an extra strength glue stick if you have it. If the glue doesn’t hold you will tape the open ends at the next step.
- Make a tube
Gently fold paper to match dot to dot and form a tube.
- Close the tube
Tuck end tabs into open end of tube. Add tape to secure. Press to seal.
- Prime it!
Prime the flexagon by rotating it slowly and popping out any unwanted bumps. It helps to loosen the paper fibers by doing this slowly a few times before you try to rotate it quickly.
