I am really excited to share with you an idea for making unusual and beautiful paper flower mobiles.

These look beautiful on display hanging in front of a window or from the ceiling as party decorations. They are also easy enough for older children to make and the possibilities are endless with the designs.

I created this post for Michaels earlier this spring.

Learn how to make paper flower mobiles
- Cut paper
Cut paper into 2 inch wide strips.
- Create loops
Gather four strips and hold them at the bottom. Loop the tops back to meet the bottom.
- Staple & repeat
Staple the bottom. Repeat this with multiple strips of paper to make several different sections.
- Cut the petals
Fold, cut, and fringe the looped paper strips to create flower petals. Repeat this with each section.
- Combine sections
Gather the section centers together, alternating directions of the petals. Staple through the center. If the center is too thick, staple 2-3 sections together and then use a binder clip to hold the sub-sections together.
- Add leaves (optional)
If desired, cut paper strips out of green paper. Fold and fringe them and add as leaves at the bottom.
- Add a string
Add a string to the top and hold and display
