I’m really enjoying our monthly materials series here on Babble Dabble Do because it gives me an excuse to explore materials I don’t always think to use. Case in point, this month’s material: clay/ceramics. I was sort of a pottery nerd in high school and remember sitting behind a potter’s wheel gently lifting the clay up to make bowls and more. And that’s pretty much the last time I worked with clay on a regular basis. Shame on me! So I’m anxious to get the month started…
And in case you are worried we’re going to need any fancy materials or tools, think again, all the projects I have planned will need nothing more than clay and maybe a home oven. No potter’s wheels, kilns or glaze will be found, this is strictly an intro to working with one of the most appealing family of sensory art materials out there: clay/dough/plaster!

And be sure to follow our Clay and Ceramics Crafts Pinterest Board where I’ll be sharing lots of projects exploring the wonders of clay this month!

Thanks Jeanette! You are a clay expert; I feel a little foolish in your presence 😉
Ana,
What great ideas! I especially like the African Masks and the Seed Bead Necklace, these are great. Thanks for a very informative post!
Aren’t the African masks so cool? Glad you enjoyed the round up!
